This documentary chronicles PRIDE FC an MMA organization that started as a Pro Wrestling .vs. BJJ spectacle during PRIDE FC 1 on October 11th, 1997 at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan; developed some of the best MMA bouts and fighters of the modern era; and finally culminated in the firesale of PRIDE FC assets to UFC parent holding company Zuffa Entertainment and inevitable dissolution of the company on October 4th, 2007 after revelations of Yakuza ties and spiraling operating costs with crippling debts destroyed Japanese perception of the Kakutogi boom and lucrative TV contracts that PRIDE FC had once enjoyed.
